MISSION STATEMENT

Our goal is to promote the sport of beagling as a whole.  By placing two of the best dogs in all of beagling in the spotlight.  And by recognizing a young person involved in beagling.   America's Top Hunting Beagle of the year awards is 100% NON PROFIT  anything and everything we gather/raise goes to our winners.  I am Rob Blake founder and Kevin Monroe of Portsmouth Ohio is our treasurer
America's Top Hunting Beagle of the year awards is free for everyone  Our hound awards are picked by our houndsman committee.   The committee votes based on each hounds trial record for the calendar year 2021.  This is a hound of the year program.  There is no head to head running.  Our awards are based solely on trial record.  there is a picture of our example trial/hunt record below   All entrys must be received by Jan 10th 2022

The houndsman committee is our panel of judges.  The houndsman committee is currently made up of 22 individuals from 21 states and 1 in Canada.  The houndsman committee each have one vote per award.  If there is a tie.   I (Rob Blake) will be the tie breaker.  We have 3 awards for 2021.  Top male of the year - Top female of the year - Youth Handler of the year.  Each houndsman picks there top male, top female and Youth Handler of the year.  The top male and female are judged on the dogs 2021 trial record.  I count the votes.  All houndsman are anonymous.  And do not know who the other houndsman are.  There is no discussion between houndsman. 

Any questions let's us know.  We currently have 22 houndsman from 21 different states and 1 in Canada     America's Top Hunting Beagle of the year is not meant to replace any current hunting gundog beagle award program.  America's Top Hunting Beagle is not affiliated with any dog/beagle registry
America's Top Hunting Beagle of the year awards is a yearly award for hunting gundog beagles.  That covers all formats  Akc Nkc Ukc Pkc Ckc etc   The purpose of this event is to promote all hunting gundog beagles
2021 will be the first year.   Send in your dogs (male or female) trial/hunt record for the year.  An example trial/record is in a separate post   1st thru 5th or NBQ only   No bench results this is field results only
We do not need a description of your dog   We do not need a picture of your dog    There is no entry fee      This is a free program 
Any gundog beagle on rabbit or hare competition  U.S. and Canada 
Jan 1st 2021 to Dec 31 2021 calender year    Results must be turned in no later than Jan 10 2022.   All winners will be announced live on Facebook Super Bowl Sunday 2022
A committee of houndsman    Will independently determine who they will vote for Based solely on the dogs trial/hunt record for the year    The committee will not receive the dog or owners name     Until after the results are FINAL 
There is no point scoring system.    Each houndsman will choose by his or her own opinion.   Each houndsman has 1 vote for male  1 vote for female   The male with most votes is the male winner   The female with most votes is the female winner
The names of the houndsman will not be announced 
It will be announced How many houndsman we have and What states they live in
Prize packages are on a separate flyer
